Johan Schoukens received the degree of Electrical Engineer, and the degree of doctor in applied sciences, from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Brussels, Belgium in 1980 and 1985, respectively. Until September 2000 he was a Research Director of the Fund for Scientific Research - Flanders (FWO) and part time lecturer at the VUB in the Electrical Measurement Department (ELEC). Presently he is a full time professor at the same department (ELEC). His research interests are in the field of identification of linear and nonlinear systems.
